Dutch captain Frank de Boer will appear before UEFA's Appeals Body on Thursday in an attempt to overturn his one-year suspension for a positive drugs test.
A spokeswoman at European football's governing body said De Boer and his lawyers would attend the hearing which will begin on Thursday morning and last three or four hours.
The decision of the 11-member Appeals Body will be released on Friday but their reasoning will not be available until the weekend, she said.
The Barcelona defender was suspended in June after testing positive for the banned steroid nandrolone following a UEFA Cup quarter-final against Celta Vigo on March 15th. De Boer has protested his innocence.
