A LIBEL action by the Minister for Social Welfare, Mr de Rossa, against Independent Newspapers plc will begin today in the High Court before Mr Justice Moriarty and a jury.
The action arises out of an article written by a columnist, Mr Eamon Dunphy, in the Sunday Independent on December 13th, 1992.
