The death took place yesterday of Co Mayo musician Mr Tony Chambers (79). Mr Chambers and his orchestra played ballroom dance music across the country for more than 50 years. He is best remembered for his band's role in the film The Ballroom of Romance.
Mr Chambers will be buried today after requiem Mass at noon in Newport.
