BP officials today raised the death toll from an explosion at the company's Texas City refinery by one to 15.
BP chief executive John Browne also said the explosion will not affect the supply of gasoline in the United States.
"Gasoline stocks in the United States are extremely healthy. In other words, they are larger than they normally would be, so this incident, in our opinion, will not affect the supply of gasoline to consumers in the United States," Mr Browne told a press conference.
The company said it raised the death toll to include a worker who had previously been considered missing.
