Officials in Pakistan have put the death toll of yesterday's three-train pile-up at 133 as rescue workers continue to pull the last of the bodies from the wreckage.
The crash took place early yesterday when a crowded passenger train rammed into another at a station in Ghotki, a remote town in southern Sindh province, and a third train then ploughed into the wreckage.
Some 2,000 people, many of them asleep, were on the trains.
Officials said that nearly 170 people were injured, but most of them sustained minor injuries and were discharged from hospital after treatment.
President Pervez Musharraf ruled out sabotage after visiting the crash site on Wednesday, and he wants an inquiry to submit its findings quickly.
Pakistan Railways officials said the driver of one of the trains apparently missed a signal to stop.
In Pakistan's worst train crash, 307 people were killed in 1990 when a packed passenger train smashed into a freight train, also in Sindh province.
