GAA: Maurice Deegan from Laois was appointed by the GAAs' Central Referees Appointment Control Committee to referee this year's All-Ireland football final between Kerry and Tyrone at Croke Park.
Deegan will referee the September 21st showpiece after he also took charge of the third round qualifier when Kerry defeated Monaghan 1-13 to 0-13.
Deegan also refereed Wexford's narrow 2-14 to 2-13 quarter-final win over Meath in the Leinster championship.
The final will be his first involvement with Tyrone in this year's championship.
The All-Ireland minor football final between Mayo and Tyrone on the same day will be refereed by Clare's Rory Hickey.
