Racing:Ante-post favourite Denman leads a seven-strong challenge for champion trainer Paul Nicholls at the latest entry stage for the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury on November 27th.
Thirty-four horses remain in the big feature, with the master of Ditcheat not surprisingly having a strong hand.
Denman is joined by stablemates Neptune Collonges, Taranis, The Tother One, Take The Breeze, Niche Market and What A Friend, although the last-named has the Betfair Chase on his agenda this Saturday.
The second favourite Weird Al stands his ground, as do the well-fancied trio of Diamond Harry, Burton Port and Pandorama.
Other notable entries from Ireland include the Mouse Morris-trained China Rock along with compatriots Killyglen, Glencove Marina and Notre Pere.
2008 winner Madison Du Berlais is joined by fellow Pond House resident The Package, whilst Colin Tizzard's Hey Big Spender and Mark Bradstock's Carruthers join Big Fella Thanks as other notable contenders who stand their ground at this stage.
