A book of evidence was served against a 56 year old Department of Agriculture vet charged with handling stolen cattle health certificates when he appeared before the Dublin District Court yesterday. Mr Colm Fox, of Church Street, Skerries, Co Dublin, is charged with handling the stolen certificates at Monasterboice, Co Louth, on January 10th last, with intent to commit a crime.

In court yesterday he was also further charged by Det Garda Gerry Nohilly under the recent Act with fraudulently converting £425 at Skerries on March 14th, 1994. Judge William Early remanded Mr Fox on continuing £10,000 bail to January 16th next when legal submissions will be made to the book of evidence.
