Longford Town held out for a point away to Derry tonight despite losing the services of goalkeeper Stephen O'Brien who was sent-off.
Referee Declan Hanney issued O'Brien with a straight red card for a professional foul on Michael Holt after venturing outside of his box and grounding the striker on 65 minutes.
Longford took the lead against the run of play after 29 minutes when Philip Keogh eased past Peter Hutton and crossed for Sean Francis who side-footed home.

However, the lead lasted just two minutes as Alan Murphy's headed clearance from Holt's cross fell kindly for Gary Beckett who shoot past O'Brien.
