A Derry man has ordered himself a Ferrari after winning a £6.4 million (€8.57 million) share of the Euromillions jackpot.

Ryan Magee (27), an IT specialist from Derry, said today: "It's unreal, and it didn't really sink in until they told me I'd be making about £22,000 (€29,000) a month in interest."

The father of one said he had a premonition he would win a share of a massive €128 million Euromillions draw last Friday, and he bought 11 tickets in four different towns on the day of the draw.

Mr Magee has been told he will have his new £157,000 (€210,000) car by Friday. It is similar to the one he has on the screensaver of his home computer.

Mr Magee now plans to expand his servicing and repair business and said he was likely to look for a new home.
