Derry 2-13 Mayo 1-06: Derry enjoyed a comprehensive 2-13 to 1-6 win over Mayo in this afternoon's All-Ireland SFC Qualifier at Celtic Park.
With Enda Muldoon in great form in the middle of the park Derry held a narrow 0-8 to 1-3 lead at the interval.
Mayo got back on level terms in the second half but Colin Devlin's goal would prove to be the catalyst for Derry as they pressed for home with a number of late scores, including a wonderful Muldoon goal.
This was Derry's second scalp in the space of a week for they beat Armagh last Sunday and today they overcame last year's All-Ireland finalists.
Ciaran McDonald came on for Mayo in the second half but even his presence couldn't inspire against a dominant Derry side.
Of the other early throw-ins Galway thrashed Antrim 2-31 to 1-09 in their SHC Qualfier at at Pearse Stadium while Clare had the measure of Laois (2-14 to 1-11) in Portlaoise. Offaly beat Dublin 2-25 to 2-13 in Tullamore.
In the Tommy Murphy Cup semi-final Antrim beat Clare 1-11 to 0-10 in Ennis.
