Ms Sheenagh McMahon, the estranged wife of Det-Garda Noel McMahon will continue giving evidence to the Morris Tribunal today.
Ms McMahon yesterday told the tribunal her husband had shown her a number of black refuse bags in a shed in their back yard, saying they contained defused bombs.
Ms McMahon said her husband's superior, Supt Kevin Lennon, was present in the couple's house earlier that evening and that he and her husband had made several trips around the back of the house.
Det-Garda McMahon denied Ms McMahon's claims, saying the bags contained clothes.
The tribunal also heard that Det-Garda McMahon had told her their family would lose everything if she did not withdraw a statement alleging that he and a senior colleague had been involved in hoax explosives finds.
She rejected claims made last week by Garda Alison Teape that she never stopped giving out about her husband's superior and denied she "hated" Supt Lennon.
The tribunal was set up following two other inquiries by a Garda assistant commissioner, Mr Kevin Carty, into allegations of serious misconduct surrounding the death of Mr Richie Barron and, separately, the alleged planting of explosives by members of the Garda.
