Minister for the Environment Dick Roche said yesterday he was confident the Taoiseach would survive the current crisis, and that he would make a statement on Tuesday.
He said he was absolutely amazed that while Enda Kenny was asking for more and more information from the Taoiseach, he had not divulged information on how Fine Gael had raised €3 million by donations and otherwise to clear the debts of their party.
He accused the party leader of hypocrisy and said Fine Gael had steadfastly refused to answer queries about where this money had came from and that every bit of information given to the tribunal had to be dragged out of them.
He described the leaking of the information from the tribunal as "a political stitch-up job".
