Tango and jazz are kissing cousins in the music of the great Argentinian bandoneon player, Dino Saluzzi, who brings his band to Dublin for the first time in Vicar Street tonight. It's part of the Improvised Music Company's ESB Routes in Rhythm series which has done so much in the past year or so to show the diversity and quality of music form from around the world. With adding saxophones, guitar, bass and voice to the mix of tango, jazz, South American Indian music and folk that the leader has cultivated so successfully over the years, notable for the great German ECM label, where he has recorded with Charlie Haden's Liberation Music orchestra. On drums will be the only one without a Saluzzi surname - Hector Hope.
