A High Court judge has approved an agreement between a property owner and his neighbours over ending the use of a listed building in Dublin city as a guesthouse or hostel.
Justin Malone agreed last week to return the use of 44 Pembroke Road to a single family residence in accordance with its planning permission. The agreement followed proceedings brought by neighbours Mark Duffy and Edward Fox, who claimed the listed building had been turned into a hostel for short-term accommodation.
The neighbours sought an order requiring Mr Malone to cease this use and remove alterations, which included the installation of en suite facilities in most of the rooms of the house.
