A DOCTOR based at Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry appeared in Derry Magistrates' Court yesterday charged with indecently assaulting a woman.
Doctor Jose Jacob Kootiyaniel (31), whose address was given as care of Altnagelvin Hospital, is charged with indecently assaulting a woman on April 14th last.
The offence is alleged to have occurred at the hospital and the defendant was charged under the 1861 Offences Against The Person Act.
He was remanded on bail to appear before Derry magistrates on July 4th next.
