London - A doctor who engaged in a sadomasochistic relationship with a young woman was yesterday struck off the Medical Register for serious professional misconduct.
The General Medical Council's professional conduct committee heard that during a relationship with a 23-year-old woman graduate, known only as Miss A, Dr Nicholas Stuart-Smith scraped her with needles he had obtained from hospital and whipped and beat her.
