South African fast bowler Allan Donald on Saturday announced his retirement from international cricket following his country's early exit from the World Cup.
The 36-year-old had already quit Test cricket last year but had remained in the one-day squad for a final assault on the World Cup.
However, he will continue to play domestic cricket as he has a two-year contract with Free State.
"I have felt very proud, honoured and priveleged to have played for my country," said Donald who was dropped three times from the team which failed so miserably at the World Cup.
