A Donegal girl who went missing at the weekend was in hospital last night after being found at the bottom of a 30-foot cliff near her home on Sunday morning.
Angela McHugh (17) was reported missing after failing to return to her home at Stranakirka, Carrick, south Donegal, on Saturday evening.
She had attended a birthday party at the Blue Haven Hotel near Killybegs on Friday night and parted company with friends in the early hours. Around 4 a.m. on Saturday she was seen walking along the road near the Blue Haven hotel.
When she failed to return home on Saturday evening a search got under way. Early yesterday her jacket was found lying at the top of a cliff at Shalway near Kilcar. A short time later she was spotted on rocks below.
An Air Corps helicopter based in Sligo took her to Sligo General Hospital around 11 a.m. yesterday where a spokeswoman described her condition as "stable".
