GAA Round up:  Defending NFL Division One champions Donegal kept their slim hopes of retaining the league title alive with a 1-14 to 20-8 win over Laois in Ballyshannon this afternoon.

Colm McFadden's inspired second half performance did most the damage to Laois as he scored four crucial points in the closing stages. Unfortunately for Laois the result means they are relegated.

Padraig McMahon and David Walsh traded goals in the first period before Donegal went into the break 1-08 to 1-06 ahead. Laois got their hopes up with a Paul Lawlor goal from hand to go 2-08 to 1-09 ahead, but Donegal finished the stronger of the two sides.

Galway moved to the top of the standings with a narrow 2-09 to 1-11 win over rivals Mayo in Castlebar.
