Two donkeys have been spared the trauma of a terrifying fireworks display by kind-hearted councillors in Ballymoney, Co Antrim. The local council has agreed to abandon its planned venue for the yule-tide celebration because of the distress it might cause to the animals.
The display was due to have been held at a site adjacent to the field where the donkeys live, but now a new venue has been found.
