There is no reason why Church and State cannot coexist, each recognising the legitimate authority of the other, the Archbishop of Dublin, Dr Desmond Connell, said yesterday. He was speaking at the launch in Dublin of The Canon Law Letter and Spirit, a comprehensive guide to the revised Code of Canon Law of 1983.
The commentary has been produced by the Canon Law Society of Great Britain and Ireland. It is published in Ireland by Veritas and costs £55.
