Dragon Oil, the Dublin-listed oil and gas group which is controlled by the government of Dubai through the Emirates National Oil Company, has said its LAM 22-103 offshore Turkmenistan well in the Caspian Sea is in the final stages of testing prior to being put into production in approximately 7 days time.
The company's chairman Mr Hussain Sultan said the latest test results "continue to demonstrate the potential of this project".
Two of the four separate oil bearing intervals in the well will be placed in production on completion of the testing of the condensate interval.
The drilling rig will then be used to start work on the LAM 22/104 well which is expected to spud around the end of June.
