Dramatic footage of the moment armed police swooped to arrest a man on London suspected of being one of the July 21st suicide bomb gang has been screened.
Two shirtless men are seen in the images, screened by ITV News, after emerging from a flat onto a walkway as armed police shout orders at them.
One of them resembles the man featured in CCTV images released by police of Muktar Said-Ibrahim, also known as Muktar Mohammed Said, who detectives believe tried to blow up a bus in Hackney east London last Thursday.
Both men are holding their hands above their heads. Both are seen spitting and clearing their noses - possibly a result of gas police used to stun them.
The second man is reportedly the suspect wanted for the Oval bomb attempt.
Children are seen on a lower balcony talking to an armed officer.
Residents of the west London estate gave graphic accounts today of the moment armed police swooped.
Nicolas Holliman said he saw four officers with guns and rifles and a specialist officer in a gas mask outside a neighbouring property on the Peabody Trust estate in Dalgarno Gardens, close to Wormwood Scrubs Prison.
They were focusing on a top floor flat in one of the blocks on the estate and asking for a man called Mohammed to come out.
"He was being asked to come out with his hands up, naked or in underclothes," he said.
