Flood waters should subside during drier weather this weekend. Although some showers are forecast for the east today and tomorrow, they are not expected to be heavy or prolonged.
Met Éireann has forecast a fresh day today with scattered showers near coasts, but mostly dry inland. Tonight will be frosty in many places as northerly winds fall off and air temperatures drop below zero, with some mist and fog. Tomorrow will see a frosty start with mist and fog clearing slowly to give a cold but dry, bright day with sunny spells and light winds. Rain will spread eastwards on Monday, with further rain or showers on Tuesday.
