A man was killed yesterday morning when the car he was driving struck a wall at Freagh, Kilcormack, Co Offaly. He was Mr Edward Kelly (28), of Erril, Co Laois. The front-seat passenger was taken to Tullamore Hospital.
A Garda spokeswoman said his injuries were not life-threatening. No other vehicle was involved.
