A taxi was hijacked in central Dublin last night and £15 taken from the driver when two young men threatened him with syringes. He managed to raise the alarm when the two young men tried to force him into the boot of his car on North Brunswick Street.
The driver picked the men up on O'Connell Street. They said they wished to go to North Brunswick Street and then on to Blanchardstown. The taxi was later found in the Church Street area of Dublin.
