Racing: David Wachman is hoping the step down to Listed company in Saturday's Gallo Family Vineyards Silver Stakes will allow Fracas to notch his first win in two years.
Unraced at two, the son of In The Wings won his first three races and was sent off an 8-1 chance for the 2005 Derby.
He ran a fine race to finish fourth behind Motivator but he has struggled in some top class races since and moves down a level at the Curragh.
"He's had some stiff tasks lately and he's run very creditably every time. This looks a bit easier for him," said Wachman.
"Saying that and then going out and doing it are very different but we will give it a shot.
"I think he was rated about 115 once and he is still 111 now so he has retained his ability and runs to a certain level.
"I think his best trip is 10 to 12 furlongs as when I ran him over further in the Irish Leger I don't think he quite stayed.
"He ran a good, solid race in the Tattersalls Gold Cup and was beaten by some very good horses so hopefully he can get his head back in front."
Fracas will face four rivals at the Curragh with Aidan O'Brien fielding both Trinity College and Diamond Necklace while Arch Rebel and Cool Touch complete the line-up.
