A substantial amount of drugs, believed to be cannabis, was found on board a foreign-registered boat when it was seized and boarded by Gardai and Customs officials in Kilrush, Co Clare, late yesterday evening. According to Garda sources, the boat was boarded in a joint Garda/Customs operation yesterday evening.
Three men were helping gardai with their inquiries early this morning. Gardai say that two of the men come Ireland, one from the Republic and the other from Northern Ireland. The third man is said to be English.
