Three people were charged at a special sitting of Limerick District Court on Saturday in relation to a drugs haul in Limerick city and Co Tipperary.
Before Judge Michael Reilly were Ms Ann Keane (54), Coonmore, Rearcross, Co Tipperary, and Mr Brian Ahearne (26), of the same address. They are charged on 12 counts of the Misuse of Drugs Act relating to the sale and supply of cocaine, ecstasy and cannabis on March 13th in Limerick city and Rearcross.
They are also charged under section 59 of the Misuse of Drugs Act on the same date. The estimated street value of the drugs is over €500,000.
A 15-year-old male is also charged on four counts of the Misuse of Drugs Act, relating to cocaine and ecstasy in Limerick city on March 13th.
Ms Keane and Mr Ahearne were remanded in custody until Thursday, with consent to bail of €21,000, and €18,000 respectively. The juvenile was remanded in custody until tomorrow, after Sgt John Heelan said he was unruly. No bail conditions were set in his case.
