A 40-year-old man is being questioned following the discovery of six kilos of cannabis resin worth around €50,000. The drugs were found in a raid on a house in Edgewood Lawns, Blanchardstown at 11pm last night.

In a separate raid Gardai in Moate, Co Westmeath, seized three kilos of cannabis resin with a value of €25,000  from a car on the Athlone Road last night. A 27-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were arrested.

In another car search Gardai in Tallaght seized €20,000 of cocaine and cannabis resin yesterday afternoon. In follow up searches on two houses in the Tallaght area further cocaine and cannabis were seized. A 20-year-old man has been charged with drug trafficking offences and released on bail.

In Tipperary town drugs worth €35,000, including three kilos of cannabis resin and a large quantity of Ecstasy tablets were seized during a raid on a house. A 32-year-old man was arrested and later released pending further investigations.

In Listowel, Co Kerry a 17-year-old man was arrested following the seizure of cannabis and ecstasy with a street value of €1,000 following the search of a car.
