The GAA's Central Hearings Committee (CHC) has upheld the suspensions imposed on the four Dublin players who requested hearings in an attempt to have their bans overturned.

Tomas Quinn, Bernard Brogan, Paddy Andrews and Diarmuid Connolly had their cases heard by the CHC last night.  They were informed of the decision at midday today, just hours before tonight's NFL Division 2 final against Westmeath (7pm).

The Dublin quartet picked up the suspensions for their part in last Sunday's Parnell Park fracas with Meath, who also had eight players banned.

Brogan and Connolly have been banned for eight-weeks, while Andrews and Quinn must serve four-week suspensions. They may still decide to appeal the decision.

As it stands Brogan and Connolly will miss the start of Dublin's Championship campaign when Paul Cafftrey's men take on Louth on Sunday, June 8th.  If Dublin progress the pair would be eligible for Dublin's second match on June 29th.

Four other Dublin players - Ciaran Whelan, Paul Flynn, Ross McConnell and Eamon Fennell - have decided to accept their suspensions, while five of Meath's suspended players who were suspended for eight weeks are set for hearings early next week.
