Sir, - May I join my protest to Mr Liam O'Laoghaire's regarding the Store Street bus station, albeit, on a different, but closely related piece of vandalism - the report that the Corporation has decided not to extend the magnificent new concrete road beyond the bottom of Waterloo road in the Ballsbridge direction? No lover of the beautiful can fail to be moved by the sublime grey tones of this cement, particularly on a wet evening when it is to be seen to the best advantage. Ballsbridge district has been for many years the artistic centre of the country, the spot which always was first with the news from London as to what one should think on the subject of Art.
To prevent this vandalism-by-omission, a committee has been formed of which I have the honour to be assistant secretary. We shall be glad to collaborate to the fullest extent with Mr O'Laoghaire's committee. Yours, etc.,
