Dublin gangland shooting victim dies in hospital

A man who was shot twice in the head in a Dublin gangland shooting earlier this week has died in hospital.

A man who was shot twice in the head in a Dublin gangland shooting earlier this week has died in hospital.

Mr William O' Regan (32) from Finglas, was shot in the New Cabra Road area on Tuesday night.

At least two masked men entered the man's house and shot him a number of times. Neighbours called gardaí after hearing the shots.

The victim was brought to the Mater Hospital with serious head and chest injuries. He was pronounced dead this afternoon.

As yet, gardaí are not aware of any motive for the shooting and no arrests have been made.
