A 15 WORKER syndicate in a Dublin company yesterday received a cheque for a Lotto win of more than £1 million.
The eight women and even men, who won the £1,102,065 jackpot on Wednesday, receive £67,471 each. Six of the group are single while the others are married with 21 children between them.
The organiser did a phone around to break the good news. "1 thought it would be a quick call but I was on the phone from just after 8 p.m. until 11 p.m., trying to reach people.
"I managed to get all but one who is ex directory and who did not find out until she came into work this morning," according to the organiser, quoted by a National Lottery spokeswoman.
The group members, whose age range is 24 years to 61 years, wish to retain their anonymity. They would, they said, continue to work in the Blackrock firm. In a few years some thought they might pursue business interests of their own. One said she would take a holiday, her first in four years. Others had plans to look after their families and celebrate with neighbours and friends.
The winners have played Lotto since it began in 1988. The ticket was bought in Thomas Pollards, Firhouse Shopping Centre, on Saturday.
