A protest by truck drivers in Dublin tomorrow is likely to cause major traffic disruption, gardai warned this evening.
Up to 300 vehicles are expected to take part in the protest on the M50 and the entrance to Dublin Port from 5am.
The demonstration is being organised by the Road Transport Association in protest at delays on the M50 which it says is costing its members money.
The protesting trucks are due to assemble at City West (N7), Finglas (N2) and at the North Wall Quay.
The gardai warned this evening that considerable traffic delays throughout the day may occur on routes leading onto the M50 motorway and Dublin Port, including the N7, M4, N2, M1, and N32 routes. A Garda Traffic Management plan, including diversions, will be in operation from early tomorrow morning.
However, congestion is still likely to occur at certain times in the vicinity of these routes, the gardai said.
