A Dublin man, Mr Charles' Bowden, arrested in October by gardai investigating the Veronica Guerin murder and who, absconded while on bail is back in custody. Mr Bowden (32), of the Paddocks, Blackhorse Avenue, was arrested by British police on Monday and returned voluntarily to Dublin with two detectives. He appeared before Kilmainham Court yesterday and was committed to Mountjoy Prison.

Mr Bowden had been released on £60,000 bail and this was estreated by the State when he failed to answer his bail at Kilmainham Court last month. He was arrested on October 7th after gardai discovered £300,000 worth of cannabis and firearms at Ballymount Industrial Estate, Dublin.
