A MAN extradited from Britain yesterday was charged last night with the murder of a 51-year-old Dublin man in Clondalkin in 1992. Mr Kenneth Wilson, of Michael Collins Park, Clondalkin, was accused of the murder of Mr Patrick Joseph Craig, of The Bungalow, St Mark's Lane, Clondalkin.

At a special sitting of Dublin District Court, Mr Wilson faced eight charges, including assault, on Mr Craig between April 18th and 19th, 1992, and possession of a shotgun with intent to endanger life on the same date at The Bungalow.

Mr Dermot Morris, defending, said his client was in danger of being attacked if he was remanded in custody to Mountjoy, in particular to D [wing. Mr Morris said another person was convicted in relation to this matter and was currently in Mountjoy. The defendant feared for his life if this individual got close to him.

Judge O'Neill remanded the accused to appear at Kilmainham Court on Monday and ordered that the governor of Mountjoy take note of Mr Morris's concerns.
