A Dublin man has won the biggest prize to date -£250,000 - in RTE's Who Wants to be a Millionaire? quiz show.
Mr Roger Dowds (38), from Glasnevin, got the prize by correctly identifying a "merganser" as a species of duck. He decided against answering the £500,000 question after using up his last "lifeline" by asking the audience, which split inconclusively on whether a "vexillologist" studied (a) foxes, (b) scorpions, (c) flags, or (d) skin diseases. The correct answer was (c).
