Dublin 0-18 Derry 0-15: Dublin advanced to a probable All-Ireland semi-final meeting with Kerry but owe a huge debt to Stephen Cluxton after a hard-fought win at Croke Park this afternoon.
With the match still very much in the balance, the Dublin goalkeeper made two point-blank saves from Eoin Bradley within the space of a minute. It proved a massive turning point.
Derry, who arrived for their first match of the campaign at Croke Park with the scalps of Armagh, Mayo and Laois under their belts, were left reeling. Dublin, buoyed to keep their noses in front, kicked on and opened a seven-point advantage that would ultimately prove a bridge too far.
Paddy Crozier's side, to their enormous credit, regrouped and closed the gap to just three in the dying minutes but, despite Paddy Bradley's late effort on goal, Dublin clung to their lead to reach the last four.
