A security alert launched this morning in on the main Dublin-Maynooth railway linehas been called off by gardaí.
A Garda spokesman said that a man called the Samaritans at around 7 a.m. and left a coded message claiming there was a bomb on the line at Broombridge Road, Cabra in Dublin. Four trains were disrupted as a result of the bomb scare.
An extensive search using sniffer dogs was mounted, but nothing was found. The line has now reopened.
