A Dublin motorbike racer has died from injuries received during the Ulster Grand Prix in Antrim last weekend

A Dublin motorbike racer has died from injuries received during the Ulster Grand Prix in Antrim last weekend. Mr Stephen Galligan (54) sustained his injuries when he lost control of his motorbike and sidecar combination during Saturday's race. He died on Tuesday night and his body was flown to Dublin yesterday for burial. Meanwhile, the body of Mr Emmet Nolan (38), the Corkman killed in a motorbike race on the Isle of Man last Friday, will be brought home today for burial.

The bodies of three US citizens killed in a car crash on the outskirts of Galway last week have been flown home. The remains of Mrs Mary Theresa Devane (31), her daughters Elaine (10) and Christina (8), were taken back to Boston on Tuesday evening following a service in Galway Cathedral.
