Ireland's benchmark stock index, the ISEQ Index, fell 0.09 per cent at 8.05am.
The index of 64 companies traded on the Irish Stock Exchange fell 5.10 to 5,614.74. Among the stocks in the index, 6 rose, 12 fell and 46 were unchanged.
Declines in the ISEQ Index were led by Allied Irish Banks, Bank Of Ireland and Anglo Irish Bank.
