1997: FF 38.62%; FG 29.09%; Lab 10.6%; PD 9.39%; GP 6.1%; SP 1.08%; NLP 0.2%; Others 4.92% .Outgoing TDs: Seamus Brennan and Tom Kitt (FF), Alan Shatter and Olivia Mitchell (FG), Liz O'Donnell (PD).

Will Labour's Eithne Fitzgerald return to the Dáil, or will the Greens' Eamon Ryan succeed? Could both win at the expense of Fine Gael's Alan Shatter and the Progressive Democrats' Liz O'Donnell? Or could a "Bertie Bounce" see Corrigan shock everyone by getting ahead of O'Donnell and winning a seat on PD transfers?
