GAA SFC review; Dublin 1-21 Tipperary 1-13:Dublin negotiated their way past Tipperary in their All-Ireland SFC qualifier at Croke Park this evening but Pat Gilroy's side were far from convincing in doing so.

The Dub took control early on through points from Alan Brogan, Ross McConnell, Bernard Brogan and goalkeeper Stephen Cluxton. When Michael McAuley hit the net after good work from Eoghan O'Gara it looked as if Gilroy's men would romp into an unassailable lead but Tipp struck back in the 12st minute.

Rory O'Carroll's slip gave Barry Grogan a sniff and when he hit the net it doubled Tipp's meagre three-point tally to keep them in touch.

Grogan added a point before Philip Austin closed the gap to two and the teams shared four before the break for a 1-09 to 1-07 lead for the Dubs.

A great score from Conor Sweeney brought Tipp to within one of their hosts after the break but it was as close as they got.

Eamonn Fennell, Alan Brogan and O'Gara stretched Dublin's advantage and despite the best efforts of Grogan there was no reeling them in.

Galway 0-13 Wexford 1-11:Galway are out of the All-Ireland SFC championship after a one-point defeat to Wexford at Pearse Stadium.

Despite the Tribesmen edging the contest for much of the second half, Wexford stayed in touch, thanks largely to a controversial penalty scored by Ciaran Lyng, who added two crucial scores at the death to secure Wexford’s progress.

Lyng scored 1-06 in total, his goal coming from the spot after Mullally was adjudged to have taken down Bradley in the Galway box in the 52nd minute.

That gave the visitors a one-point lead but scores from Cormac Bane, Pauric Joyce and Gary O’Donnell saw Galway take control again but when Seán Armstrong dropped a late free short the door was left ajar for Wexford.

Lyng took full advantage with two superbly taken points to dump Joe Kernan out of the championship in his first season in charge of Galway.

Galway led by the odd point in 11 at the break. Joyce was making an early case for man-of-the-match with four unanswered points inside the first 10 minutes.

Wexford got off the mark through Lyng who added his second after Mattie Forde pointed from a free.

Bane bridged a 16 minute gap without a Galway point and Matthew Clancy added a sixth soon afterwards before Lyng kept Wexford in touch at the break.

Cork 1-19 Cavan 0-04:Cavan were no match for their hosts in Cork. In fact, it took them 33 minutes to register their first point through Cian Mackey.

At that stage, Cork had scored nine. Four frees from Daniel Goulding and points from Ciaran Sheehan, Colm O'Neill and Paddy Kelly did much of the early damage.

Goulding added five more frees in the second half and Cavan were reduced to 14 men when Gareth Smith was shown his second yellow card.

Pierce O'Neill's then added insult to injury with Cork's only goal as Tommy Carr's side left Leeside battered and bruised.

Offaly 0-15 Waterford 0-10:Offaly beat Waterford by five points in Tullamore.

Niall McNamee proved the dangerman for the homeside and pointed five himself on the way to victory.

Paul McConway could have added a bit more gloss to the scoreline but his miscued his effort on goal in the second half.
