A man arrested at Dun Laoghaire ferry terminal after stealing money from the Royal Yacht Club appeared in court yesterday. David Stafford (21), of Brookfield Crescent, Clondalkin, pleaded guilty at Dublin District Court to taking £280 in cash from the yacht club on August 2nd.

Stafford also pleaded guilty, along with Paul Walsh (21), of Neilstown Drive, Clondalkin, to the unauthorised taking of a car at Usher's Quay on June 25th. Judge Gerard Haughton remanded both men on bail to September 29th for community service reports, saying Walsh could serve 120 hours or six months in jail and Stafford would have the option of 240 hours or 12 months.
