THE man at the centre of a failed extradition attempt was further remanded in custody for a week at a Dublin court yesterday.

Mr Anthony Duncan (26), unemployed, from Kippure Park, Finglas, Dublin, appeared at a sitting of the Dublin District Court charged with IRA membership on April 12th.

Judge David Riordan remanded him in custody until June 7th.

Mr Duncan was arrested in Dublin last month and brought to the Dublin District Court on extradition warrants. But the application failed after the State admitted the documentation was "fundamentally flawed" and Mr Duncan was freed and arrested on the IRA membership charge.
