TWO LIMERICK brothers who are charged with threatening to kill three members of the same family have been granted legal aid at the Special Criminal Court.
John Dundon (29), Hyde Road, Limerick, is charged with twice threatening to kill a woman and her daughter at an address at Ballinacurra Weston on the weekend of April 3rd and 4th last.
His older brother Wayne Dundon (33), Lenihan Avenue, Limerick, is charged with threatening to kill a man at an address in Limerick city on September 30th, 2010.
Mr Justice John MacMenamin, presiding at the Special Criminal Court, said the court would approve legal aid for both as the State had raised no objection.
Mr Justice MacMenamin, sitting with Judge Alison Lindsay and Judge William Hamill yesterday, said the court would fix a hearing for February 21st next year, with a date also scheduled for October 5th this year.
Shane O’Callaghan, for the Dundons, said both men would likely apply for bail in the interim.
Mr Justice MacMenamin remanded both men in custody to appear before the court on October 5th.
