Cork Constitution 12-46 Dungannon

Dungannon turned in a sensational performance to win the AIB All-Ireland League final after turning over a poor Cork Constitution outfit at Lansdowne Road this afternoon.

Willie Anderson’s team went into today’s game as clear underdogs but were quick to stamp their authority on the game despite going 3-0 down in the opening minutes.

A scrappy try from Dungannon scrum-half Stephen Bell and a series of accurate goal kicks from out-half David Humprheys propelled the Ulster club into a 16-9 lead at half-time.

Cork Con never got back on terms with their opponents after the break and struggled to contain Dungannon’s free flowing attackers.

Further tries from Jonathan Bell, Boyd and Ireland international Tyrone Howe sealed victory for Dungannon. David Humphrys kicked a total of 26 points and received the man-of-the match award.
