United Unionist campaigners are claiming that the referendum result will be disastrous for Mr David Trimble and that his attendance at last night's U2 concert will not win him vital votes among young unionists.
Speaking at a press conference yesterday, the Rev Ian Paisley said it was apt that the UUP leader now appeared to have a liking for rock and roll. "He's rocking anyhow and he will be rolling after May 22nd," he said. His deputy, Mr Peter Robinson, said the only rock the United Unionist campaign relied on was "the solid rock of unionist opinion".
